A google map of deprivation in Scotland from 2009

The map below shows the results of the Scottish Index of Deprivation 2009 in Google Map format. The most deprived areas are in red and the least deprived areas are in blue (as shown in key). If you want to see the data, click on an area for deprivation score and rank. You can zoom in and out in the normal Google Map way. This is just a really quick experimental map to see what is possible because I found the official one a bit more difficult to use and slower loading in my web browser. The data were produced for the Scottish Government by the Social Disadvantage Research Centre at the University of Oxford.
